Granary (granary.farm) is inventory and operations software for farms that grow and sell their own products. It is built and run by an independent developer — not a large company — which shapes a lot of what follows: we aim to be straightforward with you, and we ask for reasonable patience in return.

By creating an account, checking the consent box at signup, or using the service, you accept these terms. If you are using Granary on behalf of a farm or company, you confirm you have the authority to accept them for that organization, and “you” means both you and that organization.

Granary helps you track products, materials, inventory, orders, vendors, and production planning for your farm. Some features use software from other companies (like payment processing or an AI assistant) — those are described in section 7 and in the Privacy Policy.

Granary is a young product under active development. Features will be added, improved, and occasionally changed or removed. We'll try to give notice when a change meaningfully affects how you work.

You need an account to use Granary. You agree to: • Provide a real email address you control. • Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for activity that happens under your account. • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your account may belong to a company workspace (a “tenant”) shared with teammates. Workspace owners and admins control who is in their workspace and what roles they have.

Some parts of Granary are paid. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on the schedule shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Prices may change, but never retroactively — we'll tell you before a renewal at a new price. If a charge fails and stays unpaid, we may downgrade or suspend paid features after a reasonable attempt to reach you.

Everything you put into Granary — your products, recipes, inventory counts, orders, vendors, prices, notes — belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it, ever.

You give us only the narrow permission we need to run the service: to store your data, process it, back it up, and display it to you and the teammates you've invited. That's it. We do not sell it, rent it, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it for anything other than operating and improving Granary for you. The Privacy Policy spells this out in detail.

You can export your data, and if you delete your account we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Be a good neighbor. You agree not to: • Break the law, or use Granary to help someone else break it. • Try to access other tenants' data, probe or overload our systems, or bypass security measures. • Reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape the service. • Upload malicious code or content you don't have the right to use.

If something you do threatens the service or other users, we may suspend the account involved while we sort it out — we'll be proportionate and we'll talk to you.

Granary is built on a small number of third-party services we chose carefully: Supabase (database and login), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and — only when you use the Meadow assistant — our own self-hosted AI gateway, which reaches AI model providers through OpenRouter under strict no-storage, no-training rules. Each of them processes only what's needed for its job — the Privacy Policy lists exactly what goes where.

Using Meadow also requires accepting the AI assistant terms shown before your first question.

Those companies have their own terms and we don't control them. We picked providers whose practices we're comfortable standing behind, and we'll change providers if that stops being true.

We work hard to keep Granary up and your data safe, and we run regular backups. But this is honest software built by a small team: we can't promise 100% uptime, and occasionally maintenance, our providers, or plain bad luck will cause interruptions. We'll communicate about significant outages and fix things as fast as we can.

Granary's numbers, forecasts, reorder suggestions, and AI assistant answers are calculated from the data you give it, and they can be wrong — especially if the data is incomplete. They are not agronomic, financial, legal, or tax advice. You know your farm; final decisions about what to buy, grow, make, and sell are yours.

Granary is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every calculation will be correct.

To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Granary — even if we've been advised such damages are possible.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim (or $100 if you haven't paid us anything). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You can stop using Granary and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or terminate an account that seriously or repeatedly violates these terms — where reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

If the service itself ever winds down, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data before it's gone. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (like 5, 10, 11, and 14) survive.

We may update these terms as Granary evolves. When we make a material change we'll notify you — by email or a notice in the app — before it takes effect, and we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Granary after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you don't agree, you can export your data and close your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can't resolve by talking to each other (please try that first — we do respond) will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
